I suck at posting every day. I get carried away with things, and... that's that.
I wrote a crazy paper this week. I watched La Strada for ethics class... then I had to write a paper on it. A 3-4 page paper with community college standards.
I couldn't stop myself. I went six pages with university-level detail. I ended up with a pretty solid paper... considering how little there was to go off of in terms of film material.
I was subsequently called a genius for this achievement. It happens.
Also, I'm loving Goozex. I've got a bunch of awesome games coming at minimal cost to me; the cost of shipping on outbound games and a dollar-per-trade charge that Goozex charges. Still... an awesome deal.
Oh. And I've officially decided on going to Florida. I'm crazy excited, but this means pulling money together from who-knows-where.
And it means I can't put forth the cash to buy tickets to see Uematsu in Seattle this summer. Shoots!

Accepted!
I've finally been officially accepted into Florida Christian College.
I'm stoked about that.
I have two weeks to make a decision, though... and if my decision is to attend... I gotta pull together $200 by then, too.
Shoots!

Halfway There?
Well. The term is more than halfway finished now. I'm pretty happy about that.
I'm also halfway caught up on sleep.
It's also halfway nice out today.
Wait. That was a lie. It's dumping. Unfortunate... seeing as it's
the middle of May... and I didn't bring my umbrella to school today.
Alas. What can I do?
Oh! But there is amazing news! Nobuo Uematsu is going to be in
Seattle in July. My idol of composers, and I have a chance to see his
work performed by the orchestra. Oh. I have so much hype for that
it's not even funny.
I'm planning on buying my tickets tonight. Cannot wait. Halfway
through the day... halfway to buying in.

Success!
At long last! I beat the system!
I got my arcade stick working fully with my 360. I need to do a little more tinkering to get the PS2/PS3/computer side of things running at peak performance, but the 360 side is what is most important to me, so I'm very excited about this.
I'd post more... but I have more important thing to do right now.
Like get going with that Street Fighter.
GET HYPE.

What IS That?
My stomach. Is. Not happy with me. At all.
It hurts. I can't figure out why. I didn't eat anything out of the ordinary. It's just causing me a great deal of suffering.
Hate that. A lot.
Also. I looked at my bank account... and... I'm incredibly poor. It's not even funny. I need to ship out some games, and I don't even know if I have the money for that.
I wish my ad-based blog system would show me some assistance... or that people would buy my music. Anything that would cause my awesomeness to offset my poorness would be sweet.

Still Fighting The Fight
What fight am I talking about? Did I get back into pursuing mixed
martial arts without telling you?
Well. No. I didn't, but I would love to. Too bad there's that whole thing about "having the time to invest" and "school obligations" and so on. Blast.
I am talking about a long week. I had midterms all week long... and will have another on Monday. Not that exciting. Still... life goes on.
And it goes right by me.
I was left to tend to things around home this week... which means I did a ton of cooking, some cleaning, and some laundry on top of everything else. Cleaning and laundry aren't my favorite things to do... but cooking.
Oh.
I love cooking.
I wouldn't hesitate to become a personal chef for supplemental income. I love making food happen.
Especially when it turns out great, and I had no idea what I was doing before getting started.
I present you with Chicken Pot Chowder... the lovechild of chicken pot pie and clam chowder. I made this last night with no experience in making cream soups (and practically no experience in broth soups) and did so without a recipe or guide. I rocked it. It turned out great. You should try it.
And now, I gotta get back to working on stuff. This weekend should be awesome... if I getta relax. Not sure if that'll happen, though. Blast.

Income!
So. I just got a job.
Well... by "I got a job" I mean "I'm now an independent contractor for Cha Cha." Heard of Cha Cha? They get questions from text messages and emails and straight up phone calls... then have specialists answer those questions... whatever they may be.
I made the cut as an Expediter. I field incoming questions... sending 'em to the people that specialize in a given area pertaining to the question at hand.
I work when I want for as long as I want, effectively determining how much money I make with my rate and duration of work. Realistically, I'm looking at like... several bucks an hour or something. It's not a ton of money... but it's more than I'm making otherwise... and I can make said money while sitting online... which I do quite a bit.
I'll take what I can get.
Also... continued progress on my arcade stick. Some things aren't going as I wanted them, too... but I've figured out ways around them. So... still win?
Got mad hype to get back on dat SFIV.

More Progress
So. I've been busy making things happen lately... thus... the lack of posts. Sorry about that.
I wish this progress was making me money, but I fear that it is not. You can help that, I reckon.
See, I released a new song this weekend: The March of Day. It's the second movement in my symphony in the works, The Batallion. I also began work on a new piano piece, Fate's Jests. I think I'll include it as a bonus track on The Batallion as something of a side story to the symphony.
Uhm. I sell my music, too. I would love to produce music professionally some day, but I'd be quite happy to see some songs sell online in the mean time.
Anyway, check out my SoundClick to hear the latest.
I've also made progress on my custom arcade stick now that the initial "it didn't work" depression has passed. I need to do a bit of work with a soldering iron before it's 100%, but I've got the stick itself and five of the face buttons working on the PS2/PS3 controller side of things. This means I can use it with my computer, too.
I'm pretty excited about that. If nothing else, I can play King of Fighters.

Anyway, here's a current picture of the working model. I'll take pics of the guts once I have them all up and running again. I'm also adding a piece of custom art... more of a decal, really... to the surface once the insides are taken care of. I guess I can share that image now.

Bear in mind... this is meant to compliment and identify the stick... not be a piece of art that will have buttons sitting on top of it. So, I decided that a sharingan from Naruto (points if you can identify whose sharingan that is) was a good fit. I could explain that, but I don't feel like feeding my nerdy side that much this time around. Then there is the stick's name (everything needs a name... cars, guitars... custom sticks), The Titan Helios.
I like it.
I can't wait for the stick to be fully functional and adorned. It's gonna amaze and wow. I'll update you again when it's finished.

More Awesomeness?
So. I mentioned last time that my arcade parts shipped out from LizardLick earlier this week.
It gets better. I got my parts today.
I was so excited about this. They even fixed my order so I had the right part. Thrilling!
Then. A great eebil happened. The parts were fine (I think), but the wiring done previously was not.
I presently have bunches of money in quality parts sitting next to me in a box... that are doing absolutely nothing.
I don't have the tools I need to fix the wiring.
The awesomeness was turned upside down. The anti-awesome. :/
