Alright. I just caught the tail end of American Idol. I try to act like I don't pay attention to it. I don't exactly watch it religiously, but I still watch it in passing fairly regularly this season.
Adam Lambert is the best vocalist on the show. Hands down.
I can see why people wouldn't like him. Honestly, I doubt he'll actually win this season. I don't think he has enough mainstream appeal to the Idol watching public to win. Danny has a much better shot at that.
Still, Lambert is not only ridiculously talented as a vocalist (extremely good control, vocal range, and tonal variety), he also has creative skill. I mean, I was taken aback at first by his twist on Johnny Cash (you just don't mess with Cash), but then I saw the creative genius behind it.
The man has skill. Period.
And that's all I have to say on the matter.
